Co-owner Daniel Hershfield first got into the insurance business out of curiosity, as a self-admitted “gearhead” with an interest in talking to people who love and need their vehicles, especially in California. From there, he found that this line of work gave him the opportunity to not only make a living, but also to talk cars, homes, and geography with people every day.  Insurance is something that is always needed regardless of the status of the economy, but not enough people can “decode” and explain what is needed to protect the assets they’ve acquired.  Daniel prides himself on actually hearing the peace of mind people express when they know they’re in good hands. In his work, Daniel helps break down the enigma of insurance — and why it is needed — into plain language, including the client as part of the process.  Our team approach at Hershfield takes a lot of the anxiety of buying and covering a home or automobile.

Before starting this brokerage, Daniel studied history and mass communications including public speaking, creative writing, and broadcasting at university.  With a minor in Spanish, Daniel unlocked not only a valuable skill in becoming bilingual, but also became curious about other cultures and motivated to travel the world.

When not in the office, Daniel enjoys spending time with friends, family, and dogs—not necessarily in that order (ha!).  He also has spent a few years learning to fly small planes and loves talking aviation.
